Don’t hold me to it but I believe it was around eleven or twelve that I began reading the Bible. I had read it cover to cover by age fifteen. Revelations, the last book in the Bible, left me wondering how I would ever understand all the symbology written there. I had no idea that the “End Times” might ever appear before I was no longer here. AS yet, I hold my fire because even if they are the amount of time it will take is up to God.
In Matthew 24, though, are Jesus’ words about what to look for as signs:
Now as Jesus was departing from the temple, his disciples approached to show him the buildings of the temple. 2 In response he said to them: “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, by no means will a stone be left here upon a stone and not be thrown down.”
3 While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”
That was a Catholic Bible and I later switched to a Jehovah’s Witness Bible but today I ordered a New American Standard Bible, large print. I did this because it is written somewhat following the Old English version of a Bible. I don’t know how many I have perused over the decades but I wanted the reading “feel” of the old way of writing.
The above tells of Jesus telling the disciples that the Temple (Solomon’s) would be torn down by the Romans: His prophecy and told them when. This is exactly what took place and it shows His knowledge through Jehovah God.
I wanted to stay up a little late tonight to place this here for you as it has been bugging me for a while. In this way you will find you have opened an unexpected door into a new realm that many have not taken the opportunity to visualize. A realm of faith and hope and knowledge of truth.
