Where did Jesus Come From-

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:16

Jesus did actually die for our sins saying, “Who so ever believes in me shall not perish.” To gain eternal life is His promise and He told the thief on the cross next to His that because that thief believed in Him that thief He would see in Heaven that very day. The difference between that thief and the other being crucified that day was that the other did not believe in Him.

None of us are anything but human and we are, believe it or not, deficient in pureness. Therefore, God sent Jesus to die so that we who are as imperfect as we are have a chance to live again, after death, forever. This is the message it took the entire Bible to tell us because we need to understand how this all came to be.

It is a history not told in most schools but ever so much more important than anything taught in those schools. The Bible is not a religious dogma of one church or another it is the story of how we failed and how this failure will be rectified but only through the death of God’s only begotten Son whom God loves more than anything else.
